Bras.

Bras, either you hate them or you love them (I personally hate them) but many people don’t know who invented the bra. Some of us would like to meet this person and give them a piece of their mind, but others want to thank this person. Oh, and some people say “A man must’ve created bras to torture women, they made them sexy but uncomfortable as shit.” but no, a woman invented bras. That woman’s name is Herminie Cadolle.

In 1889 she coined the idea of the cups and the straps, she called it a “Corselet Gorge”. They were premiered at the Great Exposition in Paris and many ladies loved the idea of it. This started a large business, where she mainly was rooted in Argentina, but she traveled the world and fitted the rich and famous with these bras. The company is still known today as “Cadolle Lingerie”.
